Default Cci lpp in stock

Kentucky Gun Company currently has cci lpp in stock at this time. They are legitimate, I have purchased from them for several years. The price was $454/5,000 shipped to my door. That was with shipped and hazmat included!

I'm glad I'm still on my $20/1000 primers. This isn't the 1st time that primers are hard to find. Hope they come down in price someday. Read that the adm. is going after ammo manufacturers next.

Nets out to about $85/1000, not the worst thing in today's environment but I'm grateful I don't have to resort to that... yet.

I’m thinking those days are long gone. When the mess started this time I went thru and inventoried the stock. I had several boxes of S&W alcan primers. 3k large, 5k small. Every one of those fired when I shot them.

But in those days I was loading wadcutters for less the $3/box. Gonna be a wild ride to see where it ends…

I would love to see $30/k but I can live with $40/k but no more. I'm also lucky enough not to have to spend so much on primers right now.

I truly feel for the new reloaders coming into the loading today. Everything is hard to find and when you do, prices are outrageous. Gone are the days you could buy a 5k brick of primers for under $100!

I hope I'm wrong... but when this all shakes out and the gummit raises taxes on ammo and components I expect to see primers at 70-75...I would not be surprised to see them at 85 though. As I said I hope I'm wrong. Had a friend who just got 5000 SPPs delivered at 85 with HazMat etc. I still have a few S&B primers I got for about 17 per. And I found a 1000 S&W/Alcan SPPs that I paid 8.50 for(about 1980?)

Visited a local hole-in-the-wall ammo shop last week and they had a few hundred CCI SPP at $12/100- even without shipping and hazmat I was not interested. Stopped in yesterday for another look around and inquired with a different salesman as to the price for the same primers. After checking with the 'man in the back' he replied they were $15/100. My facial response must have been telling as he asked what I thought they should cost. For giggles I replied they shouldn't be any more than $12/100. He response was they couldn't possibly sell them for that. Bear in mind these were the exact same primers as a few days prior. I chortled and left SMH- emptyhanded. I'll shop elsewhere. FWIW, I still have primers in my stash from years gone by that are priced at under $2/100...

I’m seeing more and more used reloading equipment for sale at gun shows and pawn shops as shooters are giving up on availability of components at even semi-reasonable prices in the foreseeable future.
For most people, the days of loading thousands of rounds per month or year and burning them all up just for fun and casual target practice are over.
I expect .22 rimfire guns to become more popular for target practice and combat/tactical matches. CCW too.

Unfortunately many shooters are giving up on shooting. I think that has been the plan all along by the fun haters. If they can't take the guns they will remove the ammo. It seems to be working.

One day a couple years ago a cashier looked at me and said, "All they have to do is take away the ammunition". That seemed like a strange thing to say. Soon I realized I had on an NRA ball cap.
I hope her statement isn't coming true.

I'VE SEEN A BILL FOR PRIMERS. THIS WAS FOR A LATE MAY SHIPMENT. THE BILL WAS FOR 500K SPP. THE BILL WAS FROM A SUPPLIER. THE SUPPLIER IS WHERE THE MANUFACTURER REFERS YOU TO IF YOU BUYING LESS THAN A TRAILER FULL. THE SPP WERE $54.15 PER K.

I FIGURE $70-$80 PER K WILL BE THE NEW NORMAL. JP

I think that the sales of loaded ammo will slow first. As the price of loaded ammo drops to the "new normal" primers will become more available and the prices for them will drop.
