Default primers getting a little better ?

I had to go down and get my Calif, out of state fishing license
for the yearly trip across the boarder to our cabin that is located in the south lake Tahoe, area. ($146)
I also picked up my combo hunt/fish license for Nevada at $16.

Is it just me , or does anyone else see a problem here ?

Any way, I also stopped by the ammo section and asked if there were any primers?
They had two srp's and one was the 41 type at just $6 a 100.
The only problem was that the limit was 200 primers.
It was nice to see the price is coming down a little but just 200 primers
is not worth my time and I left them for those in a real need, of them.

I will be fishing for a while for wild trout in the high Sierra's and
check back in 60 days to see what's up.

Have a great summer, guys & girls.

Enjoy your trip and be safe Ed.

As for the out of state license, I'm told the prices are much higher because you don't pay state taxes all year long so they give residents a better price than out of state fishermen. It seems California nonresident fishing licenses are almost triple over the PA license!

Here in Pa annual permits are:
A resident fishing license costs $22.97
A senior resident fishing license is $11.97
Senior resident lifetime fishing license is $51.97 (I bought one this year)
A nonresident fishing license is $52.97
A Trout add-on costs $9.97

A resident hunting license costs $20.97
A senior resident hunting license is $13.97
A nonresident hunting license is $52.97
A senior lifetime hunting license is $51.97 (I bought one this year)
Resident lifetime DAV hunting licences are FREE
Archery stamps, duck stamps, bear licenses, Elk stamps and Pheasant stamps are all extra.

Unfortunately there are no combo licenses here in PA.

I’m envious! It’s been maybe 20 years since I’ve been fishing the High Sierras. It’s was great then, with a couple of creeks way up that had golden trout. And down lower some had cut throat/rainbow, browns and brook trout. Plus Hot Creek, where there was about a mile of spring creek - with big rainbows and browns - and hot springs below the cold springs.

I used to send wood duck feathers to a guide in Mammoth Lake every year.

We have the same resident/non-resident cost issue in MD and VA.

Good luck with the fishing!

In the past few weeks I’ve picked up 600 Federal LPP Match and 200 Federal SPM match at Sportsman’s Warehouse @ $6.50 at per 100.
