The dual/nested recoil springs are for the skinny (.237") guide rods & the single recoil spring are for the fatter (.290") guide rod.
Did you convert to a .237" FLGR & install a bushing in the slide to hold it centered at the muzzle end?
I wouldn't worry too much about the stainless steel 4516 frame, should be plenty strong but I'd think you'd need more recoil spring than just the Sprinco for 45 Super?
In my "
Genesis: 4013 to 1013 to 1016" thread I briefly ran it as a 1016 mainly in hopes of being able to have a 10mm Auto compact with the stronger 4516 stainless steel frame instead of the 4013's aluminum alloy frame.
