Anyone ever use this pull-down powder? How did you use it? How did it perform?
I won 10lbs of it on GB and got it today and it says use A2 data. I opened a jug and it is pretty much identical in appearance to A2.
Ill have to start working with it and the chrono to find out how this particular lot performs. Of course, its pull down so I guess it really isnt a "lot" per se. I have wondered though if it is actually pull down or if its just over run. The wc-844 I bought has been excellent. I use H-335 data for that.

If the insert says to use AA#2 data I see no reason not to trust the manufacturer, use AA#2 data.

Yes, I agree and what I plan to use exactly but I was wondering if anyone else had used this particular powder and what their impressions were. With the wc-844 I learned that even if they say to use this data or that data it still requires diligence and careful loading to find out exactly what your dealing with. My 844 is faster than any H335 Ive ever used that had Hodgdons name on it.
Ive learned, and read from others these are not "exactly" the powder whose data they say to use.
For example on the lable of this it says to use data for two different powders, A2 and titegroup. Most burn rates charts I have have quite a few powders in between thise two. Im sure theyre similar but not really close in burn rate are they.
My two jugs of this do not resemble titegroup at all. So, I was asking if anyone else had used it and what their experience was.

Ammunition manufacturers do not use canister propellants as are sold to reloaders and those are blended to maintain consistent ballistic performance over many years. Manufacturers buy large lots of powder then test each lot and adjust their loadings to meet specified pressure and velocity performance. As sold to the manufacturers, there can be fairly significant performance variations from lot to lot for the same type of propellant, but that presents no problem for them.

Some propellants used by the ammunition manufacturers have no exact canister equivalents.
