Default Sad deal

A friend passed away a few months ago. He reloaded for rifle, pistol and shotgun. Mainly concentrating on pistols and shotguns (trap & Skeet). His wife is finally up for selling the guns and equipment. Yesterday and today she and a friend of ours (helping her out) were selling his equipment. Guns are gone. Bought a few things from her with no haggling over prices. Figured a few extra out of my pocket may help her in the long run.

Good of you to help her with something she probably knows very little about. I know what a burden it would be for me to dispose of my wife's shoes and purses if she were to go before me.

I tell mine my stuff is an investment. Probably worth a lot more than I paid for it. Her old stinky shoes, maybe good will might take them. If I donate them. Lol. 😩

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. Prayers for his wife and family.

Good on you Sir helping his widow with the disposition of his guns and equipment. I'm sure the money will help her. Losing your spouse is bad enough but worrying about finances makes it worse.

I have a few friends who will do the same for me and me for them if any of us pass. My wife knows them and I told her that's who she should call when she is ready.

It is comforting to know our wives won't be taken advantage of just like you are taking care of your friend's wife making sure she isn't being cheated. Bless you for that.

Thank you for kind words, Sir.

There were a couple of us helping her out. Her Husbands Table Mate at gun shows was there all day both days keeping an eye on things and helping with the hagglers. We gave her advice mostly about prices and she is savvy enough that she researches prices on the computer. Our biggest advice was price things so they will sell, and that she would not take a beating on.
