I can find data but I usually get better accuracy with the similarly shaped but heavier 200 grain SWC's, as well as more reliability.

I assume you're talking about the Federal Gold Medal Match load ? If so try the Remington 185 FMSWC bullet w/ 4.3 VVN310 , 4.8WST or 4.5 BE oal 1.160 . For lead try the Zero swaged lead 185 SWC or SWCHP w/ 3.8 VVN310 , 4.2 WST or 3.9-4.0 BE oal 1.220 . You should find one or more of these will give excellant results out to 50yds.

The classic load for bullseye competition is 185 grain LSWC over 3.5 to a max of about 3.8 grains of Alliant Bullseye. This will get you out to the 50 yard line and still be relatively easy at the 25 yd rapid fire stage.

For up to25 yards I use the 185 gr. Star LSWCHP with 3.8 gr. HS-700X and RLP. For 50 yards the same bullet with 3.8 gr. VV N-310 and WLP. The HS-700X lolad is ca 710 fps, very accurate and soft shooting.
