Default S&W model 2 project

A great Christmas present from the light of my love. A Kittredge-marked Number Two, serial number 167.

We currently have over 80 known Kittredge Model Number Twos. There are five different Kittredge markings and also a group not marked Kittredge. The photos are of the first known stamp. There are only two known guns with this stamp, serial number 163, which is in the Museum in Richmond Virginia, and serial number 167 (the one pictured). I am currently working on the Kittredge guns. and would appreciate any info. or help in regards to them. Of significance: A group of 2,700 were sold to the state of Kentucky; serial numbers would be under 8,000.

Total database now stands at 2,994. I know that some of you have a Number Two in your collection, but not in our database. We would appreciate it if you would fill out the survey form on the website, Smith and Wesson Model 2 Army Revolver Thanks to the hundreds who have already filled out the survey.

Default Model 2 #167

Ron, Serial 167 is now tucked away in my safe in Dallas along with 138 (Kittredge) and 147 not a Kittredge. Is the Model 2 project still going on?

Group, Unfortunately, due to failing health, Ron Curtis is not able to continue with his great Model 2 Project and is seeking someone to pick up the reigns and continue. I last spoke to him about 4 months ago and he was in a Rest Home at that time in a wheel chair. If there's a S&WCA member who can take over the data base and/or the web site, Ron's contact info is in the Roster. Ed
