GENTS;
Calling on you pro's to take a look and see if you can identify...I have retired weapon but I would like to get an idea of model number and approximate age of weapon; SERIAL No.#378XXX....Belonged to an elderly relative who purchased some where around turn of the century--That's all info I have....Thanks---Frog

Looks like a 38 Double Action 4th model. With that serial number it should be an antique. Nickel versions should have a blue trigger guard, however, it appears that yours is nickel. Could indicate an old refinish. I would guess that your gun was shipped around 1898 making it the last year for antiques.
