Holster for a relic S&W revolver
An old friend had mentioned to me several times that he wanted to have a holster for his father's old revolver. Now, my friend is in his late-70's, so his dad's revolver was obviously an old-tmer, and I asked to see it. In due course, he presented it to me.
A Number 1-1/2 Safety Hammerless in .32 S&W caliber ("lemon squeezer"). Remarkable condition, about 98% original bluing, no significant flaws, case-hardened trigger appears nearly new, grips perfect, bore perfect, forcing cones and cylinder face showing no signs of ever being fired.
I informed my friend that he has a very desirable collectable pistol that should be in an upscale collection, that carrying it in a leather holster might result in undesirable wear and tear, etc, etc, etc. My friend reiterated that he had always wanted a holster for his father's pistol and asked that I make one for him.
The holster is done. What a fun job, making something for a friend that has significance based upon his connection to his father, and I got to have that old S&W around the shop for a week or so. A welcome change from all the modern "wonder-nines" and plastic ****!
I haven't figured out just how to post photos here, but if there are members who would like to contact me via my website e-mail link, I will be happy to send the photos that I have of this fine old S&W top-break revolver, a treat to behold.
Best regards.

I'm confused. What's a Number 1-1/2 Safety Hammerless in .32 cal. ? There's a Model 1-1/2 (Old & New).32 RF and CF calibers, and the Safety Hammerless.32 CF cal, Models 1, 2 and 3, but they are different guns. Maybe you have discovered a S&W model nobody knew existed! We definately need a photo! Ed.

Or perhaps I am just misinformed. In any case, if you would like to see photos all you have to do is send an e-mail so that I can reply with photo attachments.
Best regards.

Holstered "RELIC"
E-mail sent. I've been looking to see a quality holster for one of
these old beauties, even though they are technically "pocket" pistols.
Thanks in advance, TACC1.

Ray sent me the pictures, it is a .32 Safety Hammerless, in outstanding condition. For some reason, I can't get it to copy and transfer to the post. But, it looks like one of mine, a 3rd issue.
(Ray's is in much better condition).

Dick: Thanks for trying with the pictures. They are pretty high resolution, so the file size is probably what prevented transfer.
My initial comment on this revolver indicating "Model 1-1/2" was made after brief research that indicated that the .32 Safety Hammerless was made on the Number 1-1/2 frame. My identification was in error for this reason, and my insufficient research efforts.

Hmmm, be curious to know who wrote that "built on the 1 1/2 frame". See picture of the 1 1/2. It's pretty different than a .32 Safety frame. I guess some of the dimensions could be the same, but not too many.

Lemon Squeezer Holster
Hi,Lobo,
I would like to see a picture of the holster that you made. I have a tooled holster for a .38 S&W Lemon Squeezer, but it is too long for ether of my .38 Lemon Squeezers. It is for a 6'' version, and mine are both 31/4". and you are right there don't seem to be much interest in holsters for pocket revolvers.
