Default Double Action .38 Questions

This is my first purchase of an antique S&W, and I am curious to know if the paper that came with the gun should be saved (authentic, or just something to collect problematic moisture?); and whether or not the brush (it appears to be natural bristle) is something that would have come with the gun (it's a strange size, I know, but as I said, I am new to antique S&W's, and have no idea what they provided back in the days of black powder).
Thank you in advance for any help.

Anything that was original with the S&W should be saved, and will have value. Nice box, they are not frequently found in that nice a condition, and the gun isn't bad either.

Save everything that came with the gun! Someone will be able to tell you if the brush and paper are correct, but either way save them. The box should be stored in a protective outer box to preserve the condition.

Nice gun, congrats on the find.

Nice find. Save all the stuff in the box except the gun. Store the gun seperately.

Thanks for the advice. All will be saved (as each of you suggests); and I'll store the gun out of the box.
