Default So I went to the neighbors this evening, and missed an auction

Didn't have a good day today. Later I got a call from the neighbor (who has some neat antique guns), went over and helped him move a TV and missed a GB auction.

I think someone got a pretty fair deal. The fact that it works and is complete is pretty good. I don't recognize the hammer profile, is it replaced or is it right?

I'm not that mad, because I did help my neighbor who is a great guy and the auction winner may have been willing to pay $900 or more, which the gun is probably not worth.

The hammer spur was broken off at some time and was altered with a welded piece that was not part of the original hammer. If the hammer had been original, the price would have been a bargain for a novice collector. Original hammers are almost impossible to find and it would have bugged me to no end if I owned it. I have a Model 1 3rd that has a broken hammer spur, replaced somewhat like the one for auction, and I have not yet found a replacement, so it stays in the safe as a bruised warrior. . . maybe some day . . .
