A European copy of an S&W Schofield is as far as I go.

Ralph Tremaine

And on the other hand, it almost certainly has proof marks which will identify the country of origin. I'm inclined to guess Belgium.

Welcome to the forum. I can tell you it is built in the style of a Smith & Wesson Schofield revolver but there are several things I see in the photo that lead me to believe it is a copy. More details would be helpful in identifying your revolver. Are there any markings on it?

It's a foreign copy. Definitely not a S&W Schofield. You can see the foreign proof stamps on the cylinder, in the photo. Check out the logo on the grips with a book on Spanish makers, That logo appears similar to some of the Spanish makers in the Eibar, Spain gun manufacturing area. That asking price seem way to high to me, however the market for handguns, even antiques like this copy, is some what skewed by the horrible gun laws in Britain, forcing collectors to pay heavily for guns that are only wall hangers and won't shoot. Ed.
