Then you have a cartridge with six numbers on it.
The title of your thread is the caliber of the gun, not the model.

CTG is "cartridge".

Depending on what model 32 you have the S&W book gives these dates
.32 Double Action, 1883-1909, 4th, 43406-28299

.32 Safety Hammerless, 1902-1909, 2nd, 91418-170000

.32 Hand Ejector Series and Models 30,31, 1910-1917, 5th change, 102501-263000

Information listed by Model Name, Date, variation ,and serial range.

As you can see a picture is worth a thousand words, please post one if at all possible to help us Id your gun,

jmcrae, Welcome to the Forum. The only S&W revolver that could have a ser. number of 124434 and be in caliber .32 S&W long. is a .32 Hand Ejector Model of 1903, 5th change. It was made in approx. 1910. Value is dependent on condition. If you can provide a photo and a complete description of the condition, wear, finish, mechanics, etc. we can estimate a market value. Ed.

Default 32 Long CTG

I was also hoping to get some information on this revolver I bought a few years back.
The grips are shot- any ideas on where to find replacements?
Thanks
