Default A time when 6 in is above average

I recently was lucky enough to get this beautiful 38 New Departure 6in from the internet gun show. Its a 4th model, SN 203829. I wonder what percentage of these New Departures were 6in? I know its probably pretty low. 6in = above average!

It came in the box as pictured, which was originally for a 38 DA 6in with pearl stocks. Too bad the box isn't in better condition. It has wax paper in it actually, not sure the origin of it. I imagine the box would be hard one to get with the 6in/pearl stock label.

Here are some the crude repairs it has. At least its all there I guess.

Two likes - one for the fine firearm - and the second for the fine title - which makes me feel better somehow.

It's not the kind of thing that I'm normally interested in, but, after looking at that gun, I have to say, "That's a fine looking bit of machinery". Are you going to shoot it? It's a real beauty!
