Default .38 S&W Lemon Squeezer Help.

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and pretty new to collecting old pistols. This is the 3rd one I'm working on and the problem I have run into is, how do I get the old broken firing pin out to change it? I removed the pin that holds it but no luck. I have PB Blasted it and let it soak for overnight to see if that will break it free. Well I let it soak in the PB Blaster, but no matter what I do, I cannot remove the firing pin. Have tried just about everything, any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks for a great forum and any info ya's can give, Jim.

Just keep pulling the trigger - the firing pin bushing should work its way out from the impact. There are only two parts inside: the firing pin and spring.

Peter's suggestion can work and it helps if you leave the gun in the freezer for a few day first to shrink the metal, then keep pulling the trigger. If that doesn't work, you may have to drill out the bushing and put in a new bushing, spring & firing pin. Br sure you use a drill smaller than the bushing so you don't damage the frame. Ed.

Thank you all for the great suggestions. I replaced the broken stem of the firing pin and put it in the freezer overnight. This morning 3 drops of the hammer popped the buffer, spring and pieces right out. New ones already in and it's working better than ever. Thank you and if I can ever return the favor be sure to just ask, Jim.
