Need some help identifing a single action 32Cal. S&W Top-Brak, has a 3" barrel with no Model or Ser Number that I can find.
On top of barrel it has "Smith & Wesson Springfield MAS. USA
Patd Jan17 24.65, July 11.65, Aug 24.69, Feb20 1877, Reissue july 25 1871. On top by sights it has Patd Apr 20.75 Dec 18 1877
Its a single action, no triger guard and sights are fixed. Hand grips have S&W on both and butt shows 17000. these are all the markings I can find.

That sounds like a .32 single-action which was similar to the Model1 1/2.

It was made from 1878 to 1881.
Total of 50,725 were made. The number on the butt is the serial number

Thanks for identifing this hand gun. Since there were over 97,000 made and the serial #17000 is not that low, I was thinking it's probaly worth 200 or 300 tops. Im I no track?
