Howdy
Cimarron does not manufacture anything. They are an importer. Their large frame #3 Top Break revolvers are manufactured in Italy by Uberti. For a long time Cimarron claimed their products were superior to other importers, but the simple fact is they all come off the same assembly line and they are all equal in quality. The only difference will be that Cimarron will have different lettering stamped on their guns than other importers. You can buy the same products through Taylor's, Dixie Gunworks, and a number of other importers.
The Uberti versions of the Russian and Schofield are offered in calibers that the originals were never chambered for, such as 45 Colt and 44-40. Because of this, the cylinders are longer than the originals to accommodate the longer cartridges. And because of the longer cylinders, and because the frames were not 'stretched' an equal amount, the cylinder bushings, or gas collars have been shortened on the Uberti replicas. That is the reason they generally do not perform well with Black Powder, the bushings are not long enough to shield the cylinder arbor from fouling blasted out of the barrel/cylinder gap. Other than that, the Uberti replicas are fine firearms, they just don't do well with Black Powder.
