32 hammerless safety Smith and Wesson "Lemon Squeezer"
I am in need of a Hammer Stud! I have looked for some time with no luck. Numrich was N/G. I also need ammo as i want to test fire it once i locate the part. I bought some 32 short fmj ammo today but it doesn't fit flush in cylinder. Please see pics for more information. Any information would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum. I do not know which model 32 Safety you have, but it is likely around 100 years old. We get parts questions all the time and the odds are that you will not find a part for your revolver. You can call Jack First Gun Parts, check ebay, or post a want to buy in the classified section of this Forum. It is most likely that you will have to buy a beater to get your part or have a machinist make a replacement part for you, both are expensive.
A couple other observations. First I would NEVER shoot plated/FMJ ammo in these old top-break revolvers. Your correct caliber is 32 S&W (not short) and it is available online. Almost all 32 S&W ammunition I have shot is shorter than the cylinder and worked just fine. These guns are plinkers, loaded with light lead bullets at low speeds and it does not matter if the cartridge is .920 (cylinder length) or less. Accuracy will not be affected.

It is likely that you have 32 S&W long ammo if it doesnt fit in the cylinder. As glowe said, 32 S&W is what you need. available but not always east to find.

If you can send me an email with the measurements of the piece, I will check my supply for a match. Give me the length and thickness measured with some micrometers. P.M. me for my email.

So just so I understand. . 32 S&W is a longer bullet then the 32 auto?

Check Ableammo.com for 32 S&W. I believe that in general, the 32 ACP is longer than the 32 S&W. 32 ACP OAL is 1.03", while 32 S&W is.92" in the Barnes book, but it depends on the style of bullet. The brass on a 32 ACP is also longer than 32 S&W.

I think the intent was to say that the modern .32 ACP pressures with jacketed bullets are somewhat higher than what the revolver was designed for with the original .32 S&W loaded with lead bullets. Did I further confuse the issue?

The hammer stud part you need will be very difficult to find. At the time it was a factory only replacement part. They have disappeared from any stocks over 50-70 years ago. Your only hope is to buy a junker and try to remove the part from it to put in your gun. The odds are you will damage the part attempting to remove it from the donor gun. In all probability you will be money ahead to look around for a replacement fully functioning gun, and it will cost you less in the long run.

Thanks all. I have located the part. Still a bit confused on the ammo. Lol... I'm searching the Internet now based off all the feedback to get a visual comparison.

If you really want 32 S&W ammo, use my link above and order it now. Their stock could be gone today or tomorrow, so when you find it, buy it. Chances of finding it at a local gun shop is pretty much nil.

Ok, I received the hammer stud! 👍.... only problem is there must be another piece missing. I believe it's a spring of some sort but truly don't know. Can anyone point it out?

Hard to tell looking at the picture but it seems you may be missing a couple parts yet. I don't see a DA link, or a hand in the photo.
