Default Topbreak .32 S&W questions and value

I am selling a couple guns for an estate, and this is outside of my knowledge

Is this an antique? Serial # 156555

Serial numbers match, Crack on bottom of right grip is confined to the bottom. Does not appear to be a re-nickle. Some nickel loss on top of front sight and the end of the muzzle but the rest is pretty nice.

The gun as a whole seems in great shape and looks to have seen little use.

Should I try to sell it on gunbroker? Is there enough interest in these to start the auction low? Or should I start the auction with an acceptable price? (which I wouldn't know)

Asking because I have to justify the price to the members of the estate.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Forum. That is a 32 Double Action, 4th Model, shipped from the factory around 1890. It is an antique and in nice condtion. Unfortunately, these revolvers do not command much money, since even a pristine example can be bought for $300.

The gun can be sold at auction without paperwork, so I would put it in your auction and see what the buyers will pay. I find that prices for guns in estate auctions often sell for more than they are worth.

Welcome to the Forum Except for the cracked grip, that's a very nice condition .32 DA. Looks unfired, almost. Gun Broker would be a good choice. I'm sure you would get at least $300, and maybe more, for it, or list it n the classified on this Forum at , say $350 and see what happens. Ed.
