Shipped about 1903. It missed antique status by 40,000. BATF cutoff for the S&W 38 Safety Hammerless revolvers is serial # below 119,900.

Thanks Gary,
I'm in Canada, so we don't benefit from the same antique status. Ours need to be prior to 1896 and of a caliber which is not commercially available.
The benefit of this little piece is the barrel, which is considered prohibited up here. Only grandfathered permit holders can obtain them. It means the prices are way down. I picked this up for $50Cdn ($37.50US).

I missed your location. Nice gun for little money. This may present a business opportunity for you. Can you sell outside Canada or sell parts? The parts market for turn of the Twentieth century S&W revolvers is pretty strong hers.
