Your revolver is a 32 Safety, First Model, shipped before 1890, so is classified as an antique. This model was made from 1888 to 1902, with over 91,000 made. Overall, this was a very successful revolver, with almost a quarter-million made in all models.
I do not think your gun is plated, but rather received a gold wash at some time after it left the factory. Gold wash is a very thin coating that will wear quickly if used. Things that lead me to believe a post-factory gold wash are that the gun looks like it have been buffed. The end of the hammer stud should he very round and extend above the surface of the frame, but it looks flattened. Also, some edges look rounded. I do not believe that the factory would have used gold wash, especially on the trigger, which was always case hardened.
If post-factory gold wash was applied, there would be no collector appeal with this example. This is a very common gun and often found for sale on all gun websites. If it functions well and is capable of firing, it might bring $150 to $200 tops in my opinion.
