You got a couple bucks. Take them to a gun show and sell there. Best
and good luck.

All I can tell you for sure is that the gun picture box is older and normally more valuable than the later cartridge boxes. The full sealed UMC box is pre-1912, since that was the year Remington bought the company. If it says Black Powder anywhere on the box, it would be no older than 1900, since before that there was only BP available and no need to label it.
I can only tell you what I would pay for those boxes if I were looking for them. The full sealed UMC box would be worth $50 and the empty earlier box would be worth less, due to its condition.
I am always asking the same questions about vintage ammo boxes and there are only a few sketchy hit & miss resources out there to date these. The reason why on one has come up with a definitive work on old ammunition is anyone's guess, but wish such a source were available. Maybe because there is not much value in most vintage ammo boxes, or a relatively small following of ammo collectors??

Possibly it's because someone with the expertise & knowledge does not have an incentive to write a price guide.

There are some subtle differences in labeling which are helpful in dating ammunition boxes. Anything stating Union Metallic Cartridge with no mention of Remington would be pre-1912. Boxes with pictures of guns on them, such as your second one, are very attractive to collectors. Most half-cover boxes will pre-date 1930, but not all. If this sort of information interests you, you might visit the International Ammunition Association website, where all of the antique ammo fanatics hang out on the IAA forum.

Recent eBay sales had a similar one showing the gun selling for $44., and the similar cartridge ones going for $9.99-$30. (4 sales).

Sealed boxes are few and far between, and eBay only sells empty boxes, so those prices are not representative of what the OP has.

I had the "cartridge" box, full but with the seal broken. Put it on my table at OGCA for @ 2 years worth of shows. Started at $40, was down to $30 before I finally sold it. Sealed boxes do seem to bring more interest but can still be slow to sell. Empty boxes seem to bring very little unless they are very rare.
As to pricing, the ammo collecting field is different than guns. There are fewer collectors to start with. Some collect only singe rounds, some only certain calibers. The largest number of box collectors seem to be the 22 rim-fire fans. There really is no firm guide to pricing and it often comes down to what someone is willing to pay.
