Interesting Find!
I have a wall plaque that has two revolvers attached to it. Top one is a S&W and bottom revolver has an Owl Head on grips. What is real interesting is the reference to Belle Star and where these revolvers came from. I obtained this wall hanging from a very good friend who was from that area in Ark, he has since passed away so no information other than what is written on it.
Check it out and share opinions and thoughts. I do realize there is little to no value but certainly a conversation starter when gun guys see it!

The revolver with the Owl on the grips is probably an Iver Johnson. The Owl was their grip logo of sorts on many of their revolvers.

While it is doubtful those were ever in the.................
....................possession of Belle Starr, it is a neat display.
Johnny Bassett was a very well known collector of antique firearms in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He amassed a great collection and had the mentioned museum.

That's what to do with relics..
Mount them on a plaque or in a shadow box and attribute them to someone famous (or infamous) where there is no way of confirming or disproving the claim.....

Neat find.
Actually there is no claim they belonged to Belle Starr, just says they were dug up at an old hideout of hers. There is a photo on wikepedia in which she has a similar revolver in her hand as well as longer barreled revolver in a holster.

Nice Find
It would be difficult to prove provenance with these two handguns but still worth the try if the serial numbers are accessible or readable. That the guns came from the hideout is good but not enough to prove anything.

I knew Johnny Bassett. He could come up with items like this at a drop of the hat! Fine gentleman and fun character. Ed.

This wall plaque is nothing more than a gun room wall hanging that has much interest. It was given to me many years ago and all I did was hang it and converse about it!
Kinda cool!!
I'll hand it down to one of my kids to hang in their own gun room someday.
