Default Straight Line .22 Value

Don't know if this is the right place for this but a buddy of mine (SWCA Member) is taking a Straight Line .22 to Columbia, SC on Sunday, Oct. 22 for the SC SWCA show that was rescheduled because of Matthew. I'm his computer gopher cause he's a bit old fashioned and still thinks push-button phones are totally over-rated since rotary dials were 90% fool- proof. Anyhow, you get the idea. The Straight Line "appears" to be NIB with a 5XX SN. I know there were less than 2000 made between 1925 and 1936 and I've seen values from $2100 to $4000. So if anyone has any current ideas of value, please let me know. And, if you're going to be in Columbia, look him up and tell 'em Jack sent you!

Hello Jack, You have seen values from $2100-$4000, are you looking for some asking price or what they sell sell for? Do have any actual sale prices? Having had a few, I know they are a very small niche in our collecting group. Is there a big demand to find and buy? I dont know.Best

Howdy Mike,
There was a Straight Line on Gun Auction with a high bid of $3100 awhile back. Having little experience with that gun I was asking for my friend what the going price was or some current values. You're right, it is a very small niche. Just trying to pry open some doors.
Thanks.

Probably the best bet is for the seller to decide what his bottom line is and put it in the WTS classifieds here on the Forum. As said, the niche is small for straight line pistols, however a lot more collectors will see the WTS ad than the few attendees at the SC SWCA meet, but he could test the waters there. If the gun is truly a 99% gun, with all the correct tools and a mint case, I would expect that it could bring around 3 grand in a large well advertised auction. Ed.

And tell him if shows up on the 22nd, all is well.

Sunday, on the other hand, isn't going to work out for him too well for him.

Our own member "straightline22" is you guessed it, the resident expert and collector of straightlines. Go figure. I would PM him first to see if he is interested and if not I'm sure he could probably come up with a value range for your buddy.
