.32 - the long and the short of it.....
The .32 has become a Rarity in my Neck of the Woods, do the familiar Top Break S&Ws in .32 chamber both Cartridges or only the Short up to a certain date and the long after that?

Actually it's the .32 S&W center fire. ".32 Short" is just a common term used by some because the .32 S&W Long is the correct nomenclature for the longer cartridge used in the hand ejector revolvers, so they refer to the .32S&W incorrectly as a ".32 Short." Ed.

Ammo manufacturers don't help much either. 32 Corto (Short), 32 Short, 32 Short Colt are all confusing to many, not to mention 32 Short Rimfire. How many have heard about 32 Corto Short ammo? Short Colt is not identical to 32 S&W, but still help promote the "short" term. 32 Short Colt will, however, function fine in a S&W.

32 corto
32 corto is the oldest of the 32 revolver rounds, developed for the "Bulldog" revolvers. The 32 short Colt was based on that cartridge, there are many sellers claiming the 32 corto can be fired in a 32 long Colt chamber or possiby a short as well, but when I ask them if they have tried it, they decline. I have also asked them if would send some test rnds for me to try, no they will not. Has anyone tried shooting one in a Colt chambered gun?

Not quite sure why you need foreign 32 S&W ammunition? It is for sale online here and is usually Remington or Winchester. Ammunitiontogo.com currently has 32 S&W in stock and probably other sites out there as well.
32 S&W should chamber in a 320. Case length is different, but according to Barnes, the OAL is almost identical. The 32 S&W bullet diameter is quite a bit smaller than 320, but looks like it would work in the 320 Webley.

That certainly changes things. I guess I thought way down south of Dixie was Florida. Can you buy antique collector ammunition? Who is it that monitors every little box or envelope that comes in the mail from abroad anyway? It would seem that ordering empty brass cases from a private individual on eBay who puts it in a padded envelope should be the least of your government's concern, but we are "spoilt" over here.

selling brass on Ebay
eBay does not allow brass or bullets to be sold on their site, but gun parts they are fine with.
