S&W Top Break
I just found a S&W Top Break 4th, 32SW, its serial number is 2346xx, it is in about 98% with pearl handles. Anyone know the date of Manufacturing and what its worth. Nice little gun!

Nickel or blue? Barrel length? 4th model? Only had three models. Made up to 1937. Grips have a medallion? Any pics? Best

I think you are looking at a 32 Double Action, 4th Model revolver?? Problem is that there are a couple of different models of 32 S&W, one a 32 Safety Hammerless and the other a 32 Double Action hammer-gun. If a 32 DA, 4th, it would have been shipped around 1901, so is a modern firearm as far as the BATF is concerned. Value is everywhere from $150 to $300 depending on condition and without detailed pictures, it would be impossible to get any closer.

You know Gary, I could have sworn I saw "SH" in there somewhere.
Gots to read a little more careful. Best

Patton: They're ivory. Only a pimp from a cheap New Orleans whorehouse would carry a pearl-handled pistol.
Sorry, couldn't resist. At least call them pearl stocks, it sounds better.
Remember one of the forum cardinal rules: "Without pictures it didn't happen"

Hey James, nobody born after 1960 even knows who Gen. Patton was. And the quote on pearl grips has been done to death. OH, sorry James. Best, Mikey Boy.

No one can tell the date of manufacture, you can only guess. But with a serial number and a better description as to what revolver you have, the shipping date can be found. Without a complete serial number that is impossible.
