Anyone know who bought this gun?
Just been wondering if any of our members won this auction a while back? Though I sorta figure if they had, we'd have heard about it by now? Or maybe not.
Needless to say, I didn't.
Anyway, just curious.

I don't think I would like shooting that. As long as the barrel is it would probably need a supportive hand. Being a revolver I sure wouldn't want my arm taking some side blasts while supporting the barrel. Would have to be real careful with arm placement.

That's why it has a forearm.

I don't think that would have been a legitimate concern.

The winning bidder was: " CFKGEN4 " (gunbroker handle) but I don't know who this is.
My son informs me that some bidders / seller on gunbroker cannot see the bidders names. I don't know why some can and others cannot, but hope that helps your plight.
The prior owner is a friend and fellow member.

Oh, I was just curious to know if someone we all knew bought it...wasn't really worrying me.
I'm a regular visitor-bidder on Gun Broker...but even when you're logged in and looking at the bid history of a gun, you still can't see the real names of other bidders...just their GB "handle".
I suppose sellers can see bidders' names, since they have to do business with them, but I've never sold on GB.

Bidder names
I believe you have to be a seller to see bidder info on other's sell site. Probably a transaction requirement also to prevent someone posing as a seller just for access.

I would have bought it for $7,175 but it went to $7,180 and that was just too rich for my blood.

I'm curious about the mis-matched cylinder. Finding a nickel RR is hard enough but I'd like to know where the nickel .320 cylinder came from.

Looking closer at the factory letter it states that it was shipped in blue finish.

Yes, everything was fully disclosed. It had a period nickel refinish although there was no physical evidence of same. .32-44 New Model 3 Cylinder could be adapted with little fitting to RR .320 as both fire a true .323" projectile. (negligible .321-.323)

I got an RM that belonged to Gary Garbrecht. At the same time one of the auction houses had a .32 revolving rifle that belonged to him. It was one that went to a World's Fair or Expo and had been refinished. It had an auction estimate of $170,000!!!!!
