An interesting note on this ad for the Perfected revolver and other S&W ads of the period,( circa 1909-1920) is the fine print at the bottom - "Pacific Coast Branch: 17 Market St. San Francisco "
That location was the new Phil Beakert store at the time, opened after the 1906 Earthquake destroyed his earlier store. You will see that same notation on period ads for Colts, Winchester, etc. as Bekeart sold them all. Ed.

So then this is a Beakert add, not a S&W originated add? Or, possibly a collaborative endeavor?

Good question. Since that note appears on different gun maker ads of the time, I think you might label it as a Bekaert ad, however the advertising copy phraseology also appears on factory S&W ads w/o the Bekaert note. If you include the ad copy with your display of Oscar Young engraved Perfected revolvers at the Symposium, I will see that the Judges do not penalize you points for a non S&W item! Ed.
