Default Help: S&W Model 1 1/2 single action restoration

After disassembling, cleaning, and degreasing I tried to remove the nickel plating using Brownells electroless stripper. After 8 hours of soak time no progress was made. Any advice? Perhaps this is not nickel coating? I didn't suspend the pieces in the liquid, I just dropped them in the bucket, would that inhibit the stripping?

Any advice would be appreciated, I'm out of ideas.

Anytime that I have tried to remove nickel and it did not come off it was chrome! Try leaving it in for 24 hours. If it still looks the same it is chrome. If it is then you need to live with it!!
