Default Safety Hammerless Grips

Can anyone tell me what the grip material is here, pearl, etc? They were on my 4th Model .38 when I bought it, although per the factory letter they are not original. They do however look like they were on for many decades. Not currently using them, wondering if they are valuable as I have no plans to reinstall them.

With the chips on the top of both stocks, they will not bring much money. As you state, they are not original and are not even S&W made. Many revolvers were fitted with after-market pearls at distributors and gun shops before they were sold, so those stocks may be as old as the gun.

Thanks for the input everyone. I didn't remember they were that chipped until I tried them back on the re-finished 4th model. Despite that, if any member out there could use these, they're welcome to them. Let me know.
