How Much to Pay?
I'm offered a S&W .32 lemon squeezer probably un-fired, perfect in bore & function, perfect blue; in what remains of the box. Its finish is perfect but for a few places of crusty rust, one side of the cylinder & a few other small places. The rust looks superficial probably with little or no pitting. Seller wants $200, an estate sale item. Worth it?

Depending on the size of the "crusty rust". If it's just a pin size possibly yes, if any larger, I doubt it. Without several clear close up pictures of the gun there is no way to tell.

If the gun is nice enough to appear unfired with a perfect bore, I would pay $200 each by the truck load. Blue is rarer than nickel. Partial box is pretty good too.

I too think that it's worth $200.

Worth $200 in a heart beat! If the seller is in a fiduciary capacity for the estate, they may be guilty of malfeasance and owe the estate more than $200 for not seeking fair market value. Ed.

Agree, $200, buy it. Your Post stated, perfect blue. Then you dropped the shoe. So it is not perfect. If you get it, dont fix with steel wool. Just an oily rag. Best

Photographs would help, but $200 would be a good to excellent price for the firearm, as described.

$200 sounds like a real rip off for that junker. If you send me the sellers name and phone number I will call him right away and tell him how outrageous $200 is for any S&W. Heck if you had $200 to spend you could probably buy an air soft pistol with a box and everything.

When I see questions like this I can only ASSUME that one is out of their element/collecting field. I'm glad the question has been asked in advance since similar questions are usually after the fact; "How did I do?". The latter question usually indicates that the purchase was made too early. My philosophy has always been: Do you want it and can you afford it without spending the rent money or taking food off the table? If I was faced with the opportunity, I'd buy it; if I didn't have ten just like it...

You hit the nail about "element". Small CF revolvers I have little experience with. I'm 93 & been into guns since the 1930s, made a few guns from scratch, done caliber conversions on a few, built a few New Service Colts, 1903 & 1905 autos from parts I collected. S&Ws I'm only into the .44 DA topbreaks & TLs that I've done a little work on --
This one I got nice inside but in need of my DIY TLC out ----->

What time is the barbeque?? Seriously, I'm out of my element with the other guns you mentioned. I'd have to trip over them and ask "What are they?" because I wouldn't have a clue. Nice work on the .44 DA.
