What is an approximate DOB for a 6" top break in .38 S&W w/ serial # 421xxx?

Presuming it is a .38 Double Action, that would make it a 4th Model made from 1895 to 1909. Yours would be about 100,000 units into a production of ~217,000.

Charles, 1/2 doz. serial numbers in the 421XXX range were all shipped in 1902. Ed.
