Default I made some noise with my oldest S&W

I really like this old breaktop. I've had it for a while, but I don't think I've shot it since I first got it.

I've started reloading .38 S&W. I found a nice Terrier, then a British Service Revolver, and already had this old guy, an Enfield, and an H&R, so why not? It got me to thinking about this one.

I took it to the range today, with some Fiocchi factory ammo I had around. 7 yards was about as far as I dared with those sights, my eyes, and the DA trigger. Still I managed to kill the paper man.

I think our predecessors were pretty well armed with one of these in the pocket of their greatcoat.

What a fun old gun. I just may load it up and drop it my pocket for my next foray into the mean streets of Castle Rock.

I like those old top breaks. I have two chambered in .38S&W, a nickel Empire State Arms and a blue Iver Johnson. I tried to post a pic but it won't upload.
