Default No value

They can be ran over with a semi and a model 3 44-40 still has value. The buffing is evident. Please keep feedback realistic.

Knee-jerk reaction (no study/no comparisons): N0!!

Why? What I'll call the proportions are wrong/off/different---especially in the frame area.

That's it for quick and dirty while I'm taking a break from mowing----and mowing----and mowing.

To be continued---after mowing---after some studying---after some comparison----if.

Having sat and stared, I'm not much better off than I was before---which is to say I have nothing objective to point out.

The frame looks "fat"---top to bottom (compared to a "long strap" NM #3 Target I have in front of me).

Whatever the area below the barrel and above the hinge might properly be known as looks short.

Either or both of these impressions may very well be attributed to the photography.

If Mr. Ed ("opoefc") happens along, I'm inclined to take his judgement as gospel.

Sometimes when people are very good at talking bad pictures, makes you wonder. While it "ain't" no lady ... the lighting and reflections are just awful. And ... its been wire wheeled.

It strikes me no one will argue about the condition of this item---******.

The man asked if it appears authentic.

"And ... its been wire wheeled." It does have the appearance of some abrasive. Scotch Bright? It might be enticing from the purchase price/affordability standpoint but from the resale/collectible side it's better to pass and find a better example. This revolver would make a nice shooter. You asked; my opinion.

Most anything has a "collectors" value. How collectable depends on the price.....

Authentic? Yes.
Worth fooling with? NO!

Spend more money, even WAY more money, and buy a better gun. Buying this gun will entail throwing way more good money after bad. It will never be worth what you'll put into it.
A nice gun, even one priced at the top of the market, is a better investment.

I didn't say it had no value, I said no collector value.

I don't know of any serious collector who would touch any pistol that's buffed as poorly as pic #1 shows...
