Interesting antique. As is said, sometimes, " It has character" Are you sure the embellishment is engraving and not etching? The Mexican Eagle/snake stocks are of the aftermarket style, w/o a high level of skill evidenced in the carving, but go very well with the overall look of the gun in it's current condition. Is the caliber centerfire or rimfire ? The gun could be a real sleeper if a factory letter was ordered. Embellished NM#3s, with panel scenes, do not come around often. Ed.

It was CF. Engraving I think but the pix look a lot better than it did in hand; looked like a rusty mass ------>
