Default 1891 1st Mod. SS

Next one out of the box. SS 22 cal., 8". Sn. on butt, 13472.
No other numbers. Bore is a chimney. Side plate slot in nut buggered and filed. Flange present along with slots for stop and hand.
Extra barrel is 10", nice bore. Numbered as 10898. No front blade and pin. Rear blade is missing.

So what you're saying is you have a revolver frame assembly (one which likely started life as such), two SS barrels (one of which started life on a pistol, the other from the parts department), and you're in need of sight stuff---that about it?

Okay, George Dye can fix you up with a sight blade (and likely the pin). I can give you the correct height for the blade, and I can give you a machinist drawing for the rear blade. The origin of the drawing is unknown. The accuracy of the drawing is such that I have a blade made from it, and it fits perfectly.

So, assuming you wish to do something with this pile of parts, you're good to go---unless I'm missing something. (??)

And as an aside, neither of the serial numbers are listed as SS's---proving absolutely nothing.

Ralph, thanks for offer on blades and pin. I do not own any of the guns from the boxes. Im making up a list for the owner and dealer.
Im not doing any valuation at all, only advising. I have another SS that I will post later today. Mike
