That would be a Model 3 Russian, 2nd Model (or Old Model Russian) made from 1873 to 1878. The highest number to be found on this model should be around 39,000, so shipment would have been near the end of production, maybe 1877 or 1878. With the Schuler Hartley & Graham stamp, it is a commercial gun. Most of the commercial guns were serial numbered in the same range as the Model 3, 2nd American. Does the rib address state, Reissue or Russian Model??
Looks like lots of original nickel plate is left on the revolver and the stocks, while well used, look original as well.

Wow! Looks like the one I bought back in the early 1980's when you could have your pick of them. Best $100 I ever spent. Fun to reload and shoot too. I sold it in 1995. Big mistake! Still looking for its replacement, but they haven't been available for many years. . .at least not for a price that I will pay.

I have its twin
Mine is a later 38,xxx serial and shipped 1875 to MW Robinson for delivery to SH&G. It was in a 130 pistol shipment - 110 blue and 20 nickel
