Default A WWII Era "Thread" Between S&W and a Virginia Deputy Sheriff

Recently acquire these documents. They show what was involved in trying to get a S&W revolver repaired during WWII.

I do not have the first letter written by the deputy sheriff, but the rest of the exchange is here. Deputy Sheriff King made it easy for me ... he wrote his replies on back of S&W's letters!
