Help needed ID'ing
This is the companion to another revolver (newer) - from the same grandad...
Can I bother the smart guys one more time? A little different though.

Hi Rick, it's a .32 Safety Hammerless from around 1909. Not old enough to be an antique so BATFE rules apply.

Not sure whether it is the photo or not but something does not look right with the side plate to frame joint. Normally this seam is almost invisible. In your photo the line between the two looks like a groove which would lead me to believe that the gun has been refinished. If this is true, value would be decreased substantially.

I also suspect a refinish. The grips are very worn, the rest of the revolver not so much.
Who cares if the "shells" are loaded? I carry a loaded gun every day, and occasionally take pictures that are guaranteed not to harm anyone.
