First model 32 I picked up...mfg date of 1888?
Does anyone know if this would be an 1888 mfg gun?

The .32 Safety Hammerless model was made from 1888 until 1902. With a 3 digit serial number it is a good bet that yours was made in the first year of production.

Yes it would have been made and shipped in early 1888. It is properly called a 32 Safety, 1st Model by collectors.
