32 Safety Hammerless info
I'm helping out an elderly family friend sell some of his guns. He's already been ripped off on one sale he did himself, on a WWII Colt 1911 US Army no less.
One of the guns I'm helping him with is a 32 Safety Hammerless, blued, 3" barrel with original black hard rubber grips. No box or anything with it. It appears to be in excellent shape and locks up tight. S/N is 133457. I'm having a hard time determining which generation, but thinking 2nd model. Pull up to release barrel lock, pinned front sight.
Would asking $300 run people off? Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum. Your friend has a 32 Safety, 2nd Model that would have been likely shipped from the factory in 1905. It looks to be in good condition with original finish, but hard to tell with one picture. These little revolvers are not going for big money, partially since so many were manufactured and would probably sell for around $300 unless in better condition than I am seeing.

Wish I had the $300. That's a sweet little revolver.

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! I don't think folks will stampede to the exit at that price depending on where you are. Down here in Houston County it would be harder to sell in spite of its condition. Even in top condition, DA top breaks mostly sell around $200 with the .38s being more salable.

Neat little evolutionary little S&W. Made lots of them and survival rate seems to be high. We all have a few and most for sale. $200-$300 is the going price for a sale.

Biggest issue with selling them the way we do now is that someone will have another $60 or $70 in shipping and transfer fees....makes 300 be almost 4
