Has the usual age related surface, but looks not abused. Check it over closely, but probably no reason why you can't take it to the range. I have a couple and they are fun to shoot. (ammo is a little expensive and not always available, get on line).

What’s a fair price for one like this?

In my area, $165-$225 range will probably buy you a similar condition example as a shooter. Ed.

Very nice. If you don't mind how about the serial number.

I am assuming given condition and price collectors value is limited?
I was thinking down the road I might do a refinish. I usually don't like refinishes if the gun has any collectors value at all but in this case what's the harm? I know the end result wouldn't be worth what it costs but this is a hobby for me not a business. I can live with the fact that a $250 gun with a $500 refinish might end up being worth $300 and not $750.

We had this one at the range the other day. Fun to shoot, but tough to hit anything at over 10 feet.

and why is the forum flipping all my photos upside down? I had to pre-flip this one.

I have a couple of them and they are fun little guns. Actually the BATF classifies them as antiques and there is no need for paper work to purchase. Here is one I picked up a long time ago with a bulged barrel. Cut the bulge part off, affixed a couple of post with slots and made it into a belt buckle.

A $250 gun with a $500 refinish will be worth $200 or less.
I wouldn't do it. They are only original once!

Interesting isn’t it. A professionally refinished car is worth more and a professionally refinished gun is worth less. Same with coins and knives even a thorough cleaning if not done correctly can lower the value

So, did I convince you to "do the right thing" and NOT refinish?

Yes you did
The only firearm I am having refinished is a 1889 Remington shotgun and then only because the barrels and frame cane from one gun, the stock from a second, forearm from a third, locks from a fourth, etc
