Default new copy of 1st model American SA

Just a note. Went to Cimarron website and saw that they are intending to bring out a copy of the Smith and Wesson 1st model American in 45C, 44/40, 44 Russian and 44 Special. I called and was told that the firing pin would be correctly located on the hammer, release date is sometime next year and price would probably be around $1200.

Interesting development. Model 3 Russian, Model 3 Schofield, and New Model 3 Frontier are now available, so this would be a great development and long overdue.

I'm assuming the gun will be Uberti made. Uberti makes very good functioning repos. Ed.

As is common with these repos, the cylinder is probably lengthened a tad to accept the three longer cartridges listed above...but even Smith and Wesson did that in some of the later No.3's.
