Yes, a pain and time consuming. Im sure its not goin to fall out due to fit, age and crud or corrosion. Strip drips and hammer and soak in Kroil or 50/50. Tap a brass rod from the inside, out. You have to start somewhere.

used a brass punch,soft brass, bent it a bit to reach in and applyed penetrating oil. vise clamped, gave it three-four taps and out it came, !!!
