Congratulations on a great find! There aren't many nicer than this one out there.

Where did you find it?

Truly amazing that it survived in that condition for 155 years! Hearing the backstory would be interesting if you can share it.

Stunning! And tell us you paid the ridiculous price of $150. Boy, that's one ugly Number 2.

Oh, ****. It has a drag line..... 155 years. Who cares? Super nice! Let me know when you get tired of the ugly duckling. I'd go $175.

Thanks for all the positive comments.
It came from GI
Sadly, there is no back story I know.
It does make you wonder how it could survive all the years with minimal erosion

My own model 2 is in the same state than yours, but it was produced later (serial #55730). I too got it for a very low price, but still higher than yours. You're a lucky guy !

Very nice! A local guy has been trying to sell one that is nickel plated with a holster and cylinder pouch for just over $1000. It's nice, but more than I want to pay.

These were in .32 Rimfire Long. There is a .32 Rimfire Short as well that will work, but neither has been produced for several years.
