The second picture shows the scores for a match shot by Chevalier Paine on Dec 17, 1887. It lists one of the scores as 96. It also notes that Mr Paine used a 38-44 on Dec 9th to shoot one of the days.
Have not found the match report for Mr. F. E. Bennets score of 96.

Here is where the info is coming from. Its a reprint of The Rifle magazines/publications from the late 1880's. It was printed every month.
The editor and publisher was Mr. A. C. Gould. Many of the articles from The Rifle were later used for his books Modern American Rifles plus Modern American Pistols and Revolvers published in the 1890's.

Error in target evaluation
Sorry Guys,
My fault....Those targets posted by Mark I believe are not from a 32-44 Target New Model 3....They are from a 44 Russian Target. I looked closely and did some measuring of the bullet diameters vs the target rings documented on the Bisley standards. Only the 44 Russian fits.
Likely using the early type wadcutter bullet.
So, that puts us back to square 1 regarding the accuracy of the 32-44 and the .320 Revolving rifle caliber on a New Model frame. We will just have to take ours to the range to find out.
