And lest anyone doubt the accuracy of Ed's reply, know that the foremen kept what I'll call daily production logs (which display pretty much exactly what the name implies)----likely to facilitate accounting for payroll---also likely for piecework.
And Ed has some of those. (Actually, given the wealth of information he's put forth over the years, I reckon he has a bunch of them---a big bunch.)

Keep in mind that Ed has the date from the Foreman's records and the BATF accepts the SHIP date from the Factory which may, and usually, is different. Obviously, the date of manufacture is earlier than the ship date.
