Default .32 4th model top break

Hey, can anyone tell me the year of production of my recently inherited revolver? Number 217***. My research indicates that it is a 4th. Also, I purchased Remington Performance WheelGun Ammunition 32 S&W 88 Grain Lead Round short. Would this be the appropriate round to use? Thank you! Jeff

The ammo should be fine, assuming the revolver is in good condition.

Someone should be by to give you an approximate shipping date.

Dave Chicoine's antique firearms book should have instructions.

On the net, maybe you can find a pdf of it.

Is your gun a .32 DA or a .32HE ? Give me the full serial number, and if it's Smith & Wesson, I may be able to tell you the manufacturing date. Ed .
