New .32 Lemon Squeezer, looking for some info...
Just purchased this at LGS, no particular reason it just looked cool and I appreciated its age and quality. The logo/patent info on the top of the barrel is beautifully done. My gun obsession is unique in that if it has a trigger I love it...

Its a four digit serial number in the high 8000's. Any information is appreciated. Would like to know the approximate age. Thx in advance...

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! That is a .32 Safety Hammerless 1st model that was made from 1888 to 1902. They made over 91,000 of them in that period. It probably was made before 1899 so is an antique. Someone who tracks data on these may have more precise info.

That is a nice early one, and blued at that... rare on both counts, or at least not often seen on the loose.

Only working off the pics, but does the finish look soft.
The blue does not look bright or vibrant. Still a nice gun
and no chip on the bottom of the stocks.

Looks like some cold blue could have been applied at one time or another, but there is honest wear on the cylinder. The wear on the bluing does not match the wear on the hard rubber stocks, if they are original to the gun.
What is interesting is how much a good photo editing program can do to fix images. Here are the same photos as the OP's but with corrected exposure. The gun does not seem to have anything ever done to the metal and all the edges and serial number stamping looks sharp.
Welcome to the Forum Away2! Your revolver certainly qualifies as an antique, since any 32 Safety revolver before serial number below 91,400 is an antique according to the BATFE.

Gary, will agree on cold blue. I just wanted some one to mention it.
Its still a nice little, example of an early gun. If the Sn. is scratched in the
grips, cherry on the sundae!

It's just too bad that someone tried to remove the cylinder incorrectly without holding out the top latch, and caused the scratches on the cylinder. Otherwise that's a nice one.
