I need help indentifying the engraver of a Fourth Model Top Break
Double Action .32. Could this engraving be "factory". Comments greatly appreciated.

I believe it is "New York" engraving probably done by the distributor.

I agree,
New York Style. It has also been refinished. The hammer, triggerguard, trigger, and latch should be either blued or case hardened.

Very nice gun.

I agree with Mike & Murph. Dealer provided engraving. A factory historical letter will probably show shipping in a batch of guns to a NYC S&W distributor. Ed
